Stellar Academy closed its doors to humans fifty years ago, following the bizarre psychic injury sustained by one of its top Human scholars, Charles LeMar. But, they haven’t crafted a conundrum that Emzie Manipil, talented teenage journalist extraordinaire, can’t crack– at least, it hasn’t arrived in any of her mom’s magazines yet. So when the prestigious intergalactic Stellar Academy opens four slots for humans, one of them seems destined for her and her investigative talent. And sure enough, she lands a spot. Celebration and cake ensues.
But her odds-defying admission turns out to be a conundrum in itself, as it seems more than luck was pushing for her entrance. And while she’s investigating that, she’s got to balance learning all kinds of psychic powers, making friends from all over the galaxy, and maybe her first romance. But sinister forces in the secretive academy, including its resident A.I.,have noticed her activities, and though Charles LeMar was the first human to die here, nothing says he has to be last…
